About the Nominations and Awards Committee

The President appoints members to the Nominations Committee and to the Awards Committee. The Chair of the Nomination Committee is the Secretary and the Chair of the Awards Committee is the Past-President. These individuals identify Committee members, fulfill their duties within the election or award nominations cycle, and make their recommendations to the Board of Directors. The Nominations Committee assists during APAHC elections by, for example, reviewing the panel of nominees to ensure that the slate of election ballots meets all bylaw criteria (e.g., no fewer than two but no more than four candidates per open position). At least one member of the Awards Committee should be a past Award Winner.
